Cobra 3P EMG Tube for RLN Nerve Monitoring
The Universal EMG ET Tube for RLN Nerve Monitoring
Connecting a Cobra 3P to any nerve monitoring system:
The step-by-step guide is provided by the Neurovision Medical Products clinical support team. The short video provides directions on connecting the Cobra 3P to the NIM Nerve Monitoring System. This is followed by suggestions for positioning the electrodes with the vocal cords for continuous RLN nerve monitoring.
Cobra 3-Plate “RLN nerve monitoring kits” are available in sizes 6mm, 7mm, and 8mm. The EMG tube design integrates thin atraumatic electrodes onto standard PCV endotracheal tubes, which makes for easier intubation and does not impact the ID of the tube.
The Cobra 3P EMG tube monitors laryngeal nerve function and maintains the patient airway for ventilation. The IONM electrode is ideal for thyroidectomies or any surgery that the RLN is at risk for injury. Cobra 3P EMG ET tubes are compatible with any intraoperative neuromonitoring system, to deliver EMG signals to alert the surgeons of changes in nerve function.

Cobra 3-Plate is patented technology and is universal in function and compatibility. The EMG tube connects to single and multi-channel systems to add reliable EMG signals and valuable RLN nerve monitoring to the surgical plan.
Cobra 3-Plate is available in a 6, 7, and 8 mm ID (Endotracheal tube diameter).
For universal RLN monitoring of smaller airways, try a Dragonfly. The EMG surface electrode fits most ET tubes, including half sizes and as small as a 2mm ID ET tube.
